The Body of Christ is a Team

Team: A small group of interdependent people with complementing skills who work together to achieve a shared goal and share mutual accountability for the results

Ephesians 4

4 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Teammates

The Body of Christ is a TEAM!!!

However, the body has become selfish and self-sufficient, ultimately making it ineffective.

It’s puffed up with knowledge not kindness, Lust not Love, Envy not edification, Pride and no progress.

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

² For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

³ Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

⁴ Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

⁵ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

⁶ For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

In the Hebrew Israelite community that form of godliness is fixated on an image of God as it relates to skin color. Although yes true Israel are black people and yes Jesus (Yeshua) was black it was not his mission to uphold a people based on the color of their skin but the content of their heart.

In the “Church” buildings they’ve gotten caught up in a form of Godliness as it relates to blessings being tied to material things. Money, appearances rather than the heart.

Neither have produced the power within and that power is LOVE. It’s so very simple, yet many are going to miss heaven on a technical foul. Bad sportsmanship, no LOVE.

Unsportsmanlike conduct: your ability to LOVE

13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

I challenge you today to ask yourself for the sake of Christ

Do you want to be right? Or do you want to be effective?

Kingdom Identity is rooted in LOVE not who’s right or who’s wrong. An effective body (team) operates based on the goal not just individual.

This is why YAH called it a body so we would work together fitly joined

Ephesians 4:16

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
